Who We Should Have Lost In 2016

With 2016 drawing to an end it’s fair to say that many people feel as though this year has been one of the worst in recent memory. Between civil unrest across the globe, multiple terrorist attacks, another Tyler Perry movie and an exhausting American election cycle it’s a hard sentiment to argue with. All of this is in addition to the deaths of many notable cultural icons including David Bowie, Prince, Alan Rickman, Gene Wilder, Muhammad Ali, Alan Thicke and Rob Ford.

As we begin moving forward into 2017 let’s take a moment to recognize this definitive list of those who, against all odds and sense of a just universe, evaded the cold hands of death and are still somehow with us.

Owners of Oakley Sunglasses

Overpriced headgear that as far as I can tell is only useful when trying to find out if your Facebook account has been hacked.

Robin Thicke

I’m not sure if he is a musician that wants to be a porn star or a porn star that wants to be a musician. Either way, I’d trade him for one more Bowie album.

I mean come on, just look at him.

A different gorilla

Why not some other random gorilla that the disturbed internet men wouldn’t have cared so much about?

Prince Fielder

If we had to lose a Prince this year why couldn’t it have been this one?

Alex Jones

Sharon Jones > Alex Jones

Josh Ballew hopes 2017 is taking notes.
