Trump Advisors Warn Again: ‘What Happens In Vegas Stays In Vegas’ Not Applicable At Debate

LAS VEGAS — Trump advisors have been repeatedly reminding the Republican candidate that the host city’s slogan of “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” will not apply to the debate, and isn’t really true to begin with, according to sources close to the campaign.

It began when Trump mentioned that he can say what he want, then quoted the slogan. Kellyanne Conway laughed at what she was hoping was a wisecrack, but then insisted that he owned up to the joke. “I need you to tell me that you were joking just then,” said Conway. “I really need you to tell me that you know that your microphone will be on, that the cameras will be broadcasting this to the world and that this will not stay in Las Vegas.”

Trump replied by shushing his campaign manager, saying “Shhh. Listen. Nobody, and I mean nobody, knows more than me about who joked just now, believe me.”

Conway was then heard grinding her teeth.
