CHICAGO — Local newspaper and international media conglomerate The Whiskey Journal will be performing a live tonight at the Lincoln Lodge on the city’s North Side, just steps from the CTA Brown Line and the popular six-way intersection of Lincoln, Damen and Irving Park Avenues, at 9 p.m.
The show will feature veteran Chicago stand-up and Whiskey Journal mogul Kyle Scanlan as host, with comedian Ross Kelly as his sidekick. The Whiskey Journal’s satirical take on modern life and major news events will be on full display, with fresh monologue jokes, desk pieces, video sketches and live band.
“I would recommend getting to the show around 8:30pm,” said The Whiskey Journal Live! sidekick Ross Kelly. “Come earlier if you like, I’ll be here. Kyle made me sleep here last night so I wouldn’t miss the show.”
According to sources close to the situation, The Whiskey Journal Live! staff is excited to perform at The Lincoln Lodge, one of Chicago’s greatest comedy venues. The Lodge not only means great comedy, it also means that waffle fries and 34-ounce beers will be available to any audience member who is not afraid of having the greatest Wednesday of all time.
At press time, experts urged the public to buy tickets ahead of time online for only $5 and went on to say that if you don’t go to this show, you’re “a fucking dumb dumb.”
Tickets for The Whiskey Journal Live! are only $5 online ($10 at the door).
