Derrick Rose Leaves Game Early For Meeting In The Future

TORONTO — Chicago Bulls’ star Derrick Rose left Thursday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors early for a meeting in the future, according to a source.

“I know a lot of people get mad when they see me not playing,” said Rose. “But I think a lot of people don’t understand that when I’m not playing, it’s usually because my leg hurts or my tummy feels weird, but today I left because I have meeting at Chili’s in downtown Chicago in like 20 years with my buddy Nick.”

Rose added: “We’ve been planning it since like 9th grade, so it’s not like I can break plans like that.”

After the game, Bulls’ center Joakim Noah voiced his frustrations over peoples’ inevitable reactions to Rose’s early departure.

“People need to chill the fuck out,” Noah said. “Derrick’s got a BBQ 15 years from now, and really wants to win that three-legged race.

At press time, the former NBA MVP announced he expects to be back for the Bulls’ next game against the Indiana Pacers, but can’t promise he’ll be able to play consecutively, because it’s possible he could have some stuff come up in the future and hopes you’re cool about it.

Kyle Scanlan is pretty sure Derrick Rose is the new Tracy McGrady/Greg Oden/Yao Ming/Bill Walton/Grant Hill/Brandon Roy/Penny Hardaway.
